SAVE IT FOR YOUR RAINY DAY

Tommy Hilfiger Trench Coat (similar here), J. Crew Scarf (similar here), H&M Sweater, GAP Blouse (similar here), Levi’s Jeans, Hunter Boots

Rarely do I want to even put on pants when the weather is anything but sunny and 85º, nonetheless actually leave my house. But for situations in which someone has the audacity make me do both, this pair of Hunters and my trench coat make it an easier process. I put off buying a trench coat for a long time, because I wasn’t able to find a style I really liked that didn’t cost $1000. Finally I found this one from Tommy Hilfiger that I love. The lining is fun, it’s just the right weight to use year-round with appropriate layers, and I can never say no to tortoiseshell buttons. This exact coat is no longer for sale, but I’ve linked a similar one above. I never end up fastening it, so I like to tie the belt behind my back (a trick I actually picked up from Amy Brookheimer on Veep). And yes, I tied my bow-print scarf like a bow. Sue me.
